8Bit Insights is a people-first, employee-owned, values-driven data consultancy. It is a small system integrator company, focused on driving business outcomes using modern analytics & AI solutions. They are determined to build an organization focused on their 8 core values, bit by bit.

The founding team decided to form 8Bit Insights after experiencing what it was like to work at their dream company, only to have it purchased in an acquisition deal, which then drove the company culture too far into the realm of 'Corporate Tech.' They felt that the company they now worked for no longer aligned with their own personal values and turned that feeling into the momentum and drive to build their own dream company - an employee-owned full service data consultancy that operates with integrity, compassion, and professionalism.

8Bit Insights is a brand that needed to stand out from everyone else in the tech world while still maintaining its foothold in the tech space. They needed their branding to convey who they are, not only as a company, but as the individuals behind the company. It needed to tell the story of how they are... fun, bold, community-focused, friendly, and experts at what they do. The aesthetic direction chosen is called 'Neo-Naturewave,' which takes the retro arcade/sci-fi look & feel, the modern & clean sci-fi aesthetic, and blends it with nature and natural elements, demonstrating endless growth, learning, and progress.
In the logo design, I incorporated eight circuitry nodes to represent each of 8Bit's core values into a succulent-style organic shape, which also has a large '8' in the center without being in your face. I chose to spread the futuristic font used for '8Bit' out to represent openness, friendliness, and approachability, while also using a very clean, sharp, geometric typeface to add that sleek & cutting-edge aspect to the 'retro arcade' feel of the brand's visuals.
